All contests are open to legal residents of the United States, unless specifically announced otherwise. Certain contests may be subject to age restrictions, which will be announced during the contest.

Employees and volunteers of KMIH, its advertising agencies, their affiliates, representatives, and their families or households their employees are ineligible to enter/win. Employees of radio stations within 100 miles of KMIH and their families are also ineligible to win.
Only one winner of qualifier per family or household will be allowed.
Winners may be required to sign a release form prior to receiving their prize.
Winning a prize may disqualify a listener from winning a future prize. For prizes valued under $100, an individual may not win again for thirty days from date of winning. For prizes valued between $100-$500, an individual may not win again for sixty days from date of winning. For prizes valued over $500, an individual may not win again for ninety days from date of winning. Individuals who do not comply with these guidelines will immediately forfeit their prize and no replacement prize will be awarded.
All prizes, unless otherwise specified, must be claimed within thirty (30) days of winning. KMIH-FM will not notify winners of the time remaining on their prize. It is the responsibility of the winner to claim the prize within the thirty days provided. All unclaimed prizes will be forfeited. KMIH-FM reserves the right to give away any unclaimed prize at the end of the thirty day claiming period.
KMIH-FM may substitute another prize of equal value, in the event of non-availability of an announced prize.
In the event that two telephone lines are tied together during a phone contest, the entire phone call will be disqualified and another phone call will be taken. KMIH cannot award duplicate prizes to both parties in a “tied together” situation. An example of a “tied together” call may be two telephone calls originating from the same location or residence or a party line. In the case of a dispute over telephone lines, the decision of KMIH is final.
Prizes may be mailed at the discretion of KMIH. KMIH is not responsible for the failure or tardiness of prizes delivered via US Postal Service. Otherwise, prizes must be claimed in person, unless otherwise specified. Proper identification (valid driver's license, passport, state ID, military ID) is required.
Written authorization from the winner including representative's name, ID, and a photocopy of the winner's driver's license is required. KMIH will qualify what constitutes a “unique situation.”
KMIH is not responsible for defective prizes. The station shall not be responsible for the failure of participating sponsors to deliver prizes as promised.
KMIH, its agencies, affiliates, sponsors or representatives absolve themselves of any liability, financial or otherwise, resulting from any on or off-air contests staged by KMIH. All entrants and winners agree that the station, the Mercer Island School District, and their affiliates, shall have no liability and shall be held blameless for any injury, misfortune, or damage to either persons or property insured by entering, participating in, winning, or losing any contest by use or non-use of any prize received.
All entry blanks, forms, devices, and materials, as well as the information contained on or within, gathered during the course of entry, shall become the sole property of the station to be used, disposed of or destroyed at the discretion of the station.
By participating in a contest, all entrants and winners agree in advance that the station may broadcast or publish their name, city of residence, photo, video tape, film or any other likeness, including their voice, recorded or live, for any reason the station deems necessary without compensation. All entrants further agree to hold the station blameless and without liability for such publication, broadcast or use.
All prizes are non-transferable and non-endorsable. No cash substitution of prizes allowed.
Winners understand and agree that they are responsible for any and all taxes, duties, tariffs, title fees, licensing fees or other fees incurred on prizes received.
In the event that a winner chooses not to accept a prize, he or she forfeits all claim to that prize. KMIH has the right, at its discretion, to award that prize to a contest runner-up.
Any tie will be broken by random drawing from among the tied, qualified entries. The drawing will be conducted by KMIH, and the results of the drawing are final.
KMIH is not responsible for any telephone system failure, computer system failure, network problems, malfunctions or other inability of entrants to enter.
The station reserves the right to end an contest at any time without any advanced notice to the public
The station reserves the right to limit the number of times an individual may enter a contest or drawing.
The station reserves the right to require contestants to be present at drawings in order to win their prize.
All contest winners need to give THEIR full name upon winning. Contestants may NOT call and give someone else's name to claim the prize...you win for you. Non-compliance with this rule may result in disqualification of contest/prize.
Violations of any of these rules or attempts to win any contest by fraud, deception, or cheating shall be grounds for the station to disqualify that individual from participating in all current and future contests and events at the sole discretion of the station, as well as forfeiture of any prize or prizes won by fraudulent means.
